He's not helped by the fact that his
plot goes absolutely, completely nowhere; by the end of the series it was clear that if you cut most of the Foggy And Karen Investigate scenes from the series it would be
much tighter and better.

tight, unsparing 85 minutes (that will feel
much longer to those not engaged by cinematic visions like «Dead Man,» for example, that aren't overly concerned with

This second installment in the Magisterium series is
much more effective than its predecessor (The Iron Trial, 2014): the
plot is
tighter, the stakes are higher, and Call's struggle with whether or not he is destined for evil adds to the tension.
