The difference here is that, with so
much torque on tap, you can be going very quickly in almost no time once you sink the accelerator — even if you don't bother with a downshift at all.
Overtaking is easy with so
much torque on tap while road noise doesn't become a nuisance until you reach 100 mph, making this a worthy car for longer trips.
Not exact matches
With so
much torque on -
tap it makes effortless progress, be it
on the motorway, where a mild squeeze of the throttle in 6th gear brings a satisfying shove of acceleration, or
on a fast A or B road, where you can make swift progress by smoothly stroking along in the higher gears.
Of course there's tons of grip and unshakable traction - anything less would be extremely negligent given the power and
torque on -
tap - but it's the fact you now know how
much you're using and how
much is left that marks the Chiron out as something special.
The 1.6 - liter four - cylinder makes as
much power as the Honda, meaning there's 130 horsepower
on tap but a bit more
torque.
Thankfully, there's the Abarth with a
much more respectable 160 hp and 170 - lb - ft of
