Those commenting on LarryL's question regarding extreme heat in Summer are missing a very fundamental thermodynamic issue: In the winter for a given area, significant heat can be transported into the region, because
much warmer temps exist elsewhere on the globe.
The quoted CO2 levels from ice core samples remained fairly constant through this period of ten thousand years yet we had two periods of
much warmer temps.

much of the year, while we do get all the seasons, the

But, Havent we had ice ages and

I'd like to state at the outset that that I consider myself a luke
warmer, have am convinced that the Hockey Stick has basically been proven to be an outright fraud, that Climategate shows
much of current climate science to lack any credibility, and acknowledge that there does appear to have been a lot of tampering with surface
temp record, always aimed at getting the same (
warming) result.
If it continues to build we are in for a
warm & wet winter and a continued trend in increased
temps across
much of Canada.
So don't they contradict the statement that the past was so
much cooler and it was just stupid
temp station operators that made it seem
warmer.
And it's hard to say how
much of the confusion is wilful when some folks, in one breath tell you that it's crazy for «warmists» to think that only humans affect global climate, and in the next claim that an alleged «pause» in
warming means that steadily - increasing CO2 levels «can't» be responsible — a claim that could only make sensse if CO2 * were * the only thing affecting the
temps.
