The patience of PlayStation 3 owners is wearing thin as retailers are reporting a 200 % increase in PlayStation 3 trade - ins, usually for Xbox 360 consoles, as well as sales slumps for PSN points cards and fewer
multiplatform game sales for PS3.
The respected magazine claims that they have spoken to sources who say there's a «growing trend of PS3 consoles being traded in for cash or Xbox 360s» in addition to «slumping sales of PSN points cards» and a «shift in the ratio of
multiplatform game sales and pre-orders away from PS3».

game is a ps3 exclusive the 360 will look like crap and when this
game becomes a

Not only was the Playstation home to a slew of excellent — exclusive and
multiplatform —
games it also has continued its staggering
sales numbers in hardware
sales.
So I try to buy
multiplatform games on PSN
sales and only exclusives on Xbox Live
sales.
We're not going to drag up
sales figures but there is compelling evidence available showing that, despite a lead of a few million units on the PS3,
multiplatform games, including those from Activision, sell only marginally better on the 360 and not pro rata in comparison.
A price cut, as well as a new, aggressive marketing campaign for the PS3 certainly means good news for
multiplatform publishers as more consoles will ultimately mean more
game sales, however there is currently no word on whether Moore will be getting a tattoo to commemorate the moment.
Going forward, it will be interesting to see how their software
sales break down this coming year - but it is at least easy to see why publishers continue to invest in
multiplatform game development.
