multiplayer is tons of fun, but a
lobby system is something to be desired at times, when playing with only friends isn't an option.
Thankfully, the
multiplayer works pretty well with a
lobby system that's easy to use.
That includes
multiplayer,
lobbies, a friend
system, and even a web portal to track your stats.
While online
multiplayer was pretty fun, the
lobby system was a bit rough around the edges (lots of players holding up games from actually starting).

lobby system in place and stable online code.
The
lobby, menus and matchmaking in general are crude at best, with the
system thinking it's perfectly OK to boot everyone to the main menu should someone drop out of
multiplayer.
Not an MMO (it does have 4 player
multiplayer and a
lobby system to find players so more so than some but not massive), but a great ARPG anyway.
The
multiplayer is fairly standard for an FPS, it only differs from the average with its
lobby style, and partner
system (see below).
Multiplayer is the big winner here with different roles that force teamwork, and a great rank /
lobby / stat
system.
Other modes include challenge mode that sees you try to get a place on an online leaderboard, online
multiplayer (your best bet with this is to get a couple friends to buy the game at the same time with you, because this game uses a
lobby system and it's wasn't populated at the time of review), quick race, and 2 to 4 player split screen local
multiplayer... pause for effect....
It's a new and refreshing way for players to be able to engage in
multiplayer instead of the same
lobby system we've seen since its introduction.
Thankfully, the
multiplayer works pretty well with a
lobby system that's easy to use.
They want to invite «thousands» more people into the closed beta to adjust everything from the
multiplayer balance to the
lobby system.
The game will make use of Xbox Live for
multiplayer matchmaking and
lobbies, including the service's friends
system.
