Players take the role of Tai, a boy on summer vacation who must traverse
multiple dungeons in a colorful and varied world as he attempts to rowdy spirits that threaten the island's residents.
Not only can the difficulty be painful, you eventually have to work through
multiple dungeons in a row in order to advance.

in entirely different ways.

There is a clock
in the top corner of the screen which shows the passage of time — general wandering around passes time slowly, but other actions like returning home from a
dungeon or performing synthesis fast - forward time very far, sometimes
multiple days at a time.
Several of the
dungeons in the game are so large that they need
multiple trips back and forth to town to complete.
Throughout the main story and beyond there are
multiple dungeons across varying continents, the best part is that while some of your side missions take place
in dungeons that you have explored
multiple times, others have you exploring fresh
dungeons.
In the end, Legasista is a
dungeon - crawler that attempts to differentiate itself from other by way of the energy frames and
multiple health / weapon bars.
Though I do really like how the feature was improved
in this game, now rather than calling
in someone else to save you the game offers you
multiple chances to send
in a team of your allies to save you from the
dungeon.
Emera's on the other hand are random items you find during your time
in dungeons and will not leave with you, basically by placing these items
in a Looplet that is held by one of your Pokemon you add
multiple abilities based on your chosen ones.
This isn't a loot based
dungeon crawler, though, as chest are pretty rare
in the world of Crimson Alliance and they are the soul provider of loot mid-level, aside from gold scattered around, but happily most of the new gear at least has some pretty nice effects that buff your stats nicely and can come
in plenty of flavours, such as a new staff for the Wizard that lets him hurl
multiple fireballs at any one time.
With a larger world map, more
dungeons and towns to explore and battles featuring
multiple enemy encounters, it essentially took a basic formula and doubled down on it
in every way imaginable, laying the groundwork for the future games.
Lucrezia and Francesca's story mode takes place
in a
dungeon that splits off into
multiple rooms filled with enemies to slash your way through, the
dungeon consists of 5 floors with 4 - 5 rooms on each, and each floor ends with a room which contains a more powerful enemy than what you've battled on the floor so far.
It happens out
in the field fighting, and it happens
in the
dungeons, especially when you're fighting
multiple characters.
Additionally, the fact the game can't be too sure of what items you have
in any
dungeon (at least for the most part) means that each and every puzzle has
multiple different solutions you can use to solve it.
Mount & Blade: Warband is very much like
Dungeons & Dragons
in multiple ways.
Other enemies will show up
in several
dungeons and have
multiple iterations based on that fact.
Whereas
in each
dungeon in a Zelda game you will have to stop and think about how to get through each room, Darksiders prefers to challenge you by throwing
multiple waves of increasingly difficult enemies
in your direction.
Link's Awakening was the first instance
in the Zelda series of unique backing tracks for each individual
dungeon, minibosses
in said
dungeons to break up their rhythm nicely, the fabled «trade sequence» style of sidequest (
in my opinion it still has the best one) and
multiple learnable songs on an instrument, each with different effects.
The Realm offered a surprising wealth of content
in its debut year that included player housing, a 1000 level cap,
multiple dungeons to explore, and a decent character creation system.
