When sauteing the
mushrooms, I also added the chopped porcini
mushrooms because they tasted awful right out of the water, but they
absorbed wonderful
flavor in the wine later on.
While the potatoes are cooking and
absorbing the
flavors of the cilantro and spices mix the
mushrooms so they will brown evenly.
Mushrooms are one of my favorite ingredients because they
absorb so much
flavor.
This marinated appetizer will keep for a long time and is better if made up a day in advance to allow the
flavors to be
absorbed by the
mushrooms.
The
mushrooms blend nicely with the meat, bring added nutrition, and easily
absorb the Thai inspired
flavors of the sauce.
