The kinect will function the same as it does now as the power from the GPU is not needed to function with the ui, it is only needed for kinect games, so when you load up a kinect game the reservation from the gpu will be given to kinect, the only resulting factor would be the kinect games would take an extra few seconds to load.

well to be fair the problem doesn't seem to be its complexity its that as per usual with kinect it just doesn't interpret your commands correctly 75 % of the time.
