of packing two bags didn't make sense when the parent leaving with the kid could just grab the
diaper bag from the door.
Here's a quick tip:
Pack full sets
of diaper changing supplies for each baby in gallon zip - top bags so you don't have to bring the whole
diaper bag into the restroom; then use the zip - top bags to contain the dirty
diapers.
So when it somes to
diapers it is a pleasure to have a little
pack of pampers that will last a few days, and something to
not stress about.
The difference is
not so much the number
of cloth
diapers you should
pack (again we recommend no more than 3 days» worth), but also the style
of cloth
diapers you should
pack.
By the end
of our trip, on days we weren't constantly folding and unfolding it (easy, by the way — which is good when using Disney's bus transportation services where folding your stroller is required) I got pretty adept at
packing our
diaper bag in the G - Luxe's basket so our essentials were within easy reach.
These
diapers are
not available individually, and are sold only in
packs of 12 for $ 150 - includes 24 snap - in inserts and a coordinating wet bag ($ 12.50 each).
A cute burp cloth is nice to look at when you
pack it in your
diaper bag, but if it just allows baby's lunch to roll down the back
of your freshly washed shirt, those good looks aren't worth much.
Stroller,
diapers (3 times as many as you think you need — they don't sell them in airports), wipes (travel
pack or 2), disposable changing pads (Target sells»em — very handy for the «ewwwww factor
of changing baby in a public restroom), few favorite toys & books (does mean that you have to be vigilant about
not dropping / losing them), changes
of clothes (I took 2 for baby, 1 clean shirt for myself), favorite blanket, a burp cloth, baby Benadryl *, and pacifier (even though baby didn't regularly use one, we had one on hand!).
And for everyone who has already bought regular swim
diapers for the summer, don't despair — my good friend showed me that they actually survive SEVERAL washes in the washmachine and make it through the dryer as well — so far I have used the same
pack of swim
diapers for both
of my sons all summer and still have 5 unused ones — though I wouldn't do that with poopy ones!

diapers, clothes, a safe place to occasionally put the baby down (

Don't skimp on
diapers and wipes, and make sure you have a change
of clothes for yourself, as well as for baby Use a detailed carry - on
packing list to make sure you don't forget anything.
Breastfeeding makes it pretty easy to feed and you don't need to
pack nearly as much as most travel guides would have you believe - we've done great with a backpack full
of diapers, clothes, and blankies along with our stroller and a moses basket for a long weekend (it will get bulkier when she outgrows the basket).
Most people aren't used to cloth
diapers so by leaving a few
diapers that are easy to use, lika the AIO or the one - size
diaper, it makes it easier and less daunting than simply leaving a

pack of diapers!
As your baby grows into the early stages
of eating solid foods, you're going to find yourself having to remember to
pack not only the food in the
diaper bag, but also a spoon, bib (or 2), plastic baggies, paper towels, wipes, and still, at the end
of the day, you'll probably be shoving a dirty bib into the
diaper bag (and, let's be honest, forget that it's there and find a sweet potato crusted bib three weeks later).
It is one
of the most convenient types to carry in a
diaper bag, however, since before it's mixed it doesn't require refrigeration or ice
