If you're put off by the
back cover copy (which basically says, this book is so good we can't tell you anything about it),
read a few pages and see if you're
not captivated by the voice of Little Bee, a 16 - year - old Nigerian refugee with a surprising connection to Kidman's well - to - do character, Sarah, and her husband.
I'm
not normally a fan of book trailers — most of them are either cheesy or amount to little more than a dramatic
reading of the
back cover copy, which doesn't thrill me.
I created a Collection for those I haven't
read yet and another Collection that's supposed to be my «Top of the TBR Pile,» but there's no easy way to skim through them,
reading the
back cover blurbs.
To bring me
back to where I started, had I
read the novel's inside
cover synopsis, I might
not have chosen this novel to
read, but that beautiful
cover snatched me in, and I was so happy it did:)
But no one will
read it if the title, front
cover, spine or
back cover blurb doesn't catch their eye.

You don't want to overwhelm people, but you do want to hook the reader into giving you a few more seconds of their time, which could mean flipping the book over to
read your
back cover copy or cracking it open to
read the first few pages.
Do you use «virgin eyed» beta readers (who haven't
read your story) for feedback on your queries or
back cover blurbs?
I also found that it falls out forward if I
read it while laying down and don't tip it
back a bit or hold it tightly to the
cover with my hand.
You can see it in the Library because they won't have titles underneath the
cover pictures, and the status bar icon to go
back to the current book always returns to the last B&N - purchased book regardless of what you might actually be
reading.
I then
read the
back cover, and if I am still
not sure, I may open the book to see what writing is in it — if these all «grab me», I will buy it.
You may
not be able to «judge a book by its
cover,» but you can certainly entice readers to pick up your book and look through it,
read what you've written on the
back to find out if they'd like to give it a
read.

covers a panel all the composers were on at the New york Film Festival, My Google - fu isn't findin it) they eached recorded loads of material and then traded it
back and forth, which means that there is an entire «desert rock album» out there that we hear in bits in pieces whenever we're on the run outside Sandy Shores, but I'd love to hear the whole thing.

covered that at least twice now so I suggest you
read back on that, I'm
not going to repeat it a third time.
At that point i decided i was
not yet ready to explore that part of my personnality (crestfallen author exit, to general relief), and dumped the book, scratching my head about the good nyt critic (displayed on the

I find joy in
not keeping my spouse awake by
reading in the dark with my
back lit iPad... brings
back memories of my youth with a flash light under the
covers.
Suddenly, it becomes very clear to them that I, the silly consummer, did
not read the very
back page which stated the airline was
not included in the policy and we were
not covered.
