The Jackbox Party Pack games aren't traditional board games.
Not exact matches
Although there are other people on
board the Bottle Ship, it does maintain the eerie loneliness of
traditional Metroid titles — aside from a few cut scenes and a battle or two, you'll find yourself solo for the majority of the
game — which means the new characters don't cheapen the experience.
Sure, you can choose BMX bikes instead of
traditional boards, and the soundtrack of punk covers is the best freaking Tony Hawk soundtrack yet, bar none, but whether or
not you'll love this
game completely depends on how full your Hawk tank already is.
Traditional strategy
games typically just see you moving characters around by simply having them run to different locations, but in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle you're able to use your team mates as spring
boards to reach high areas, use pipes to travel across the map quickly (it wouldn't be a Mario
game without an abundance of pipes, after all), or dash through enemies to inflict damage on them on their way to reaching each location.
