not a Lamela fan, but his whole season has been frustrating to say the least.

I didn't think the day would come that Spuds would be so much better than us but they are Cech = Lloris Alderweild and Vertonghen > Mustafi and Koscielny Aurier & Rose = Bellerin & Kolsanic Wanyama / Sissoko / Dembele > Coquelin / Xhaka / Ramsey Ericksen > Ozil Alli / Son > Welbeck / Walcott / Iwobi
Lamela Lacazette Our biggest problem that Wenger did
not rectify this summer is central midfield.
I just don't understand on any level why you would play Sissoko over
Lamela to replace Eriksen against a team that's gonna sit back anyway.
Basically he misses
Lamela's ability to beat a man and GKN isn't playing because he isn't showing enough in training.
Dele was also rested and
Lamela's
not at the level yet to start against City so we'll see Dele and Son start.
Llorente won't be best pleased, but using Son as CF in front of of
Lamela, Dele and Eriksen created a mobile offense against a poor defensive team.
Lamela has certainly
not come close to reaching those heights during his time at White Hart Lane, scoring just six goals over the course of the last two seasons after a club - record # 30m move to north London.
Lamela had made a promising start to the season with two goals and seven assists in 14 appearances in all competitions, but ultimately he hasn't been able to meet expectations in general since his move from the Italian capital.
Unlike other players who struggled in their first season before turning it around, like Sonny and
Lamela, I just haven't seen much of redeeming value in Aurier's game to date.
Levy will
not retrieve the # 30million spent on
Lamela nor the # 26m it cost to acquire Soldado, but he would still be better off cutting his losses than paying their wages for another 12 months.
Lamela revealed that he is fully focused on remaining at Tottenham next season and that leaving the North London based outfit has
not even crossed his mind.

Lamela won't be a fan of it after seeing his goal chalked off, but from a Tottenham perspective, it was a successful night at a snowy Wembley as they now face Swansea City in the next round and remain in the hunt for silverware, with or without VAR getting involved.

Lamela injured, Spuds haven't a lot of options at RAM at the moment and might shoehorn Son or Jansen there for this game if Kane starts.

not let our desperate need for a top striker making us settle for a plan B striker like Liverpool (Balotelli), Spuds (
Lamela).

But I think that the team as a whole doesn't like to pass to
Lamela when he's in scoring position.
Lamela and Soldado, they aren't bad players, they've shown it but you can't expect success when half of your starters are new faces.

Attacking is the only way to do it as we can't rely on defending against Kane, Alli,
Lamela, Ericksen.
Even i wouldn't discount
Lamela and Erection (Erikson) and Paulinho.

There will be plenty of reasonable suggestions put forward as to why this might be — from subtle points about counter-pressing and team shape and the difficulty of translating club systems over to the international game, to snarky ones about Theo Walcott being no Erik
Lamela — but ultimately everybody will realise, even if they don't vocalise, that the England shirt is a cursed object that destroys every beautiful thing that it touches.

Lamela on 20 minutes.
