I believe Arsenal has a team of scouts who are responsible to identify «proper striker» in names, what I can see is that Giroud / walcott / Welback are not in that definition (The later two may have a prospect)... The definition of «proper striker» depends on the team class and ambition, Austin is a proper striker for QPR the same as Suarez now is a proper striker for Barca... Giroud is a proper striker for Arsenal being 3rd / 4th in England... I think you already know the definition
