I used Benjamin Moore's Chalkboard Paint, tinted to Onyx (to match the color we
painted our hardwood floors) and applied with a low -
nap roller.
If you're using a
roller to
paint, select the right length of
roller nap cover for proper
paint coverage.
Use the right width
roller for your wall, as well as the right thickness and density of
nap on the
roller insert; check the packaging or ask a
paint store clerk about what's best for your exterior surface.
On our previous kitchen, I used the
paint brush to
paint around the edges of the cabinets or around the parts with «grooves», and I used a small
paint roller (like 4 or 5 inches) with a low
nap to
paint the smooth parts of the cabinets.
Be sure to use a
roller with a big enough
nap so the
paint gets inside the cracks.
Can you tell me what method you use to get a smooth finish with the
paint, i.e., brush,
roller (if so, what
nap), sprayer, etc.?
Step 2: Carefully load a 4» nylon
