Looking at the harm caused by
various narcotic substances, it found alcohol was the fifth most dangerous drug available, following heroin, cocaine, barbiturates and methadone, yet it is not included in the ABC system.
No compensation or claim shall be accepted for any death or body injury arising out of event which is a direct result or consequential event of usage of liquor or drug or any
other narcotic substance or an act of self sustained injury or suicide attempt.
But wait there is an exception to this, if it is found by the insurance company that the policy holder was intoxicated or was under the influence of any drug or
narcotic substance while driving or was involved in a crime or escaping after breaching any law which caused accidental death then pay - out may get rejected.

narcotic substances.
(i) Attempted suicide or self inflicted injuries while sane or insane, or whilst the Life Assured is under the influence of
any narcotic substance or drug or intoxicating liquor; or medically sane or insane.
If the policyholder's death was brought about by or because of consumption of alcohol or
narcotic substances, the insurance company is not liable to compensate dependents.
Self - inflicted injury, suicide, war / invasion, injury during criminal activity with criminal intent or death whilst under the influence of drug unless prescribed by the doctor, alcohol, or
narcotic substances.
Attempted suicide or self - inflicted injuries, while sane or insane, or whilst the Life Assured is under the influence of
any narcotic substance / drug / intoxicating liquor; or
