With one small exception Persona 5 does a great job at what the series has been doing best for years now, providing a gameplay experience where players have to balance their dungeon progression with the main character's social,
academic, and work
life while progressing through a strong character based
narrative with a host
of fully fleshed out party members and npcs.
His commanding portraits and tableaux
of recent years combine familiar representational forms, such as the portrait
of the artist or the
academic life - drawing class, with political references that frame deeply probing historical
narratives.
