The network itself is composed of art historical
narratives, stylistic or thematic similarities, overlapping
projects, shared educational backgrounds and work experience, or common

Through audio interviews with founders and key staff, a reading room of magazines and publications, documentation, ephemera and
narrative descriptions, the exhibition will tell the story of pioneering spaces — like P.S. 1, Artists Space, Fashion Moda, Taller Boricua, ABC No Rio, The Kitchen, Franklin Furnace, Exit Art, 112 Greene Street, White Columns, Creative Time, Electronic Arts Intermix, Anthology Film Archives, Storefront for Art and Architecture, Just Above Midtown, and many more — as well as document a new generation of alternative
projects such as Cinders, Live With Animals, Fake Estate, Apartment Show, Pocket Utopia, Cleopatra's, English Kills Art
Gallery, Triple Candie, Esopus Space, and others.
Devised in conjunction with Lost and Found, MK
Gallery's Young Person's
Project, this new assembly of films, meanderings and found material features playful interruptions and interventions into
narratives and the meanings that they generate.
Previous exhibitions have been titled Curtain Show (2010), Book Show (2010) and
Narrative Show (2011), all of which, like this current one, and with a reference to El Lissitzky's 1920s Abstract Cabinet
project, built and played with a relationship between their titular mediums and the
gallery itself.
A site - specific visual environment created in the first floor
gallery incorporates the personal
narratives of recent emigres from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Bhutan, Iraq and Cuba to create a positive, public dialogue about community, similar to the artists» previous
projects in Armenia, Republic of Georgia and Romania.

narratives and mythologies of creation, destruction and consumption.
The pieces featured in this exhibition provide entry points into bodies of work that construct robust
narratives, representing ongoing
projects and life - long dedications of twelve artists maintaining practices with the essential studio support of LAND in NYC, Hozhoni in Flagstaff, Creative Growth and NIAD in the Bay Area, First Street
Gallery Art Center and ECF in Los Angeles, and Creative Vision Factory in Wilmington, Delaware.
Whether highlighting a specific work, proposed
project, performance, curated exhibition, or extensive, multi venue exhibition the
gallery strives to support and build the work of its artists through creating a context that will broaden contemporary visual
narratives through dialogue and juxtaposition.
For the first edition of UNTITLED art fair in San Francisco
narrative projects joins forces with Kristin Hjellegjerde
Gallery and presents curated booth with new works by Harm van den Dorpel (b. 1981), Jeremy Everett (b. 1979), Carlos Noronha Feio (b. 1981) and Martine Poppe (b. 1988).
The exhibition is the final chapter of a three - part multidisciplinary
project that has included two other solo exhibitions by Harasymowicz at Centrala

For Saturnine Swing, Matthias Bitzer will use both the uptown and Chelsea
gallery spaces to present his drawings, paintings, and sculptures, and multi-part installations, ultimately engaging the two spaces and the works contained within to achieve his larger
