In the process, they touched the hearts and the lives of the people who loved them at the Sanctuary, while also becoming national ambassadors for other dogs forced into illegal dog fighting.

March 23 is National Puppy Day, and I'm observing it by honoring the passing of a hero who fought for dogs in puppy mills.
