home sales,
median sales prices, and inventory figures to those from 10 years ago.
If the
National Association of Realtors wanted to prove real estate agents sell
homes for more money than FSBOs, they could easily publish a comparison of the
median sale prices of
homes sold with and without real estate agent assistance — and here's the important part — for single - family detached
homes (only) in one region, state or metro area (only).
According to the
National Association of Realtors, the
median sales price for single family
homes rose to an all - time high of $ 236,400 in June of 2015 - above the previous record high of $ 230,400 set in July of 2006.
According to the
national real estate brokerage Redfin, the
median sales price for
homes sold in Dallas climbed to $ 345,000 last month.

sales of foreclosures and other distressed properties continue to downwardly distort the
median price because they generally sell at a discount relative to traditional
homes.

National Association of REALTORS ® (NAR), the national median sales price for existing single - family homes in October 2012 was $ 178,700, up 10.9 percent from the previo

homes rising 3 percent and then 5.7 percent next year.

home sales are projected to increase 6.5 to 7 percent over 2012 to nearly 5 million
sales this year, while the
national median existing -
home price is forecast to rise about 7.5 percent.
WASHINGTON (November 9, 2011)- Metro area
median existing -
home prices in the third quarter generally were down from a year ago, while
sales rose in every state from the third quarter of 2010, according to the latest quarterly report by the
National Association of Realtors ®.
The
national median home price, at $ 187,400, is up 9.5 percent from year - ago levels, and the market is on pace to see 4.82 million
home sales this year, a 9.3 percent improvement over last year.
Looking ahead, existing -
home sales are expected to come in at 5.52 million in 2017, while the
national median existing -
home price is expected to grow 4 percent.
According to a survey by the
National Association of Realtors (NAR) of
median sale prices, 7 of the 10 metropolitan areas with
price increases of 10 percent or more for existing single - family
homes in the third quarter of this year, as compared with a year ago, were in the Northeast.
