It is the American Kennel Club that is involved in National Dog Shows and organises an Event Calender - which gives information about both club and National Confirmation Dog Shows and Obedience and Agility events.

To be eligible to win this competition, an Old English Sheepdog must have a qualifying score * (as defined below) in at least two different performance venues offered at the 2011 OESCA National Specialty (herding, obedience, rally and agility) and must be pre-entered in this event (see entry form).

Held in either April or May of each year, the National Specialty consists of several events including Futurity, Sweepstakes, Conformation, Obedience, Agility (Performance Events) and Boston Terrier of theevents including Futurity, Sweepstakes, Conformation, Obedience, Agility (Performance Events) and Boston Terrier of theEvents) and Boston Terrier of the Year.

• Is often actively involved with local, state, and national clubs that specialize in the specific breed; responsible breeders may also compete with the dogs in conformation events, obedience trials, tracking and agility trials, or other performance events

ShowDogVideoPros will not be filming the companion events (agility, obedience, rally) for the Boston Terrier National.

REQUIREMENTS: Each dog must participate in a minimum of three (3) of the five (5) areas of competition (Conformation, Obedience / Rally, Tracking, Hunting Retriever Tests and Agility) during National Specialty Events Week.

These clubs primarily hold dog shows, but many national specialty clubs also hold obedience trials, tracking tests and other performance events approved for their particular breed.
