Söhngen attempted to do justice to Barth's insight about the
frailty of
human knowledge of God by placing the question of
natural knowledge of God within a uniquely Christological context.
Through his piercing expressionism, Azaceta depicts the
frailty of
human existence in a world full of social anarchy, historically mandated violence, and
natural chaos.
