Most travel insurance plans include a baggage delay benefit which provides reimbursement for
necessary personal effects including clothing, toiletries and other essential items, if baggage is delayed or misdirected for more than 24 hours.
If so, these measures may have the deterrent
effect needed to better protect
personal health information in Ontario and spur non-compliant health information custodians,
including hospitals, to take those additional and
necessary measures to meet oversight, technology, and audit requirements.
