Again, we have more characters than the film really
needs — I swear at least five
of the dwarfs get a single line each — and the screenplay strays outside the original source material in an attempt to
paint a broader picture than Tolkein's initial fairy tale - like novel.
The hoods rarely fit properly and
need a strong wrist to close and open [the Lotus people argued, when I mentioned my MX - 5 hood catches, that they had to develop the whole top for the price
of those catches] and the drips fall onto your thigh; the Vauxhall dash warps and fades; the gearchange is a bit awkward and the cables and pivots have to be modified to get it to a decent standard - cheap bits
again; the
paint fades and there's an awkward rust spot.
Since 2008 doing approx 1000 miles per year, I put it through an mot on the 10th January, it passed without advisories;; The underneath is very solid indeed and doesn't
need any work, the current
paint was done approx 7 years ago to a good standard but is not perfect, when it had a change from Albert Blue (traces
of it around the battery boxes) to the current black;; It still has the US import sticker on the left side door post, the original chassis plate and the chassis stamp on the bulkhead are all there;; It drives very well, I've driven it for circa 40 miles with no problems;; It has 15» Fuchs alloys and the spare is a chrome steel wheel;; The rear end has been «modernised» at some point, I personally would remove the rear Porsche reflector and fit an original panel and bumper stops to get it back to the original pre impact bumper look, I could do this for you if required, cost circa GBP 800;; The seats have been changed to 80's leather recaros and the door cards to a later style,
again I'd put some period seats in and back date the door cards if required at cost price;; The 80's recaros are worth good money so shouldn't be too much further expense if they were sold separately;; Further information to come but please contact me if you have any queries;; In summary, a really good looking classic 911Targa, that is great value and can be enjoyed as is, or improved for not a lot
of money;;
Thinking about what we have spoken
of so far I feel the
need to also say something about this phenomenon happening with many monochrome painters
of simply
painting the same
painting time and time
again.
Once
again, perhaps this new model
of working is beginning to blur such boundaries and
need to label
painting in a specific category
of work.
There doesn't seem to be a secret that
needs uncovering: when I ask what prompted him to move from the lush, textured surfaces
of the
paintings he produced in the 90s — canvases that seem to have a warm bloom across them like a beautiful mould — to the flatter, looser, more painterly style he employs today, once
again, he has no complex rationale.
I am going to
paint the exercise
again to practice restraint and also do a once through by just watching and stop where I
need to mix
paints so when I redo the
painting, everything will in front
of me.
In an essay in his book Black and Black
Again, Ian McKeever RA notes that «Barnett Newman emphasised the
need to stand close to big
paintings rather than standing back... he wanted his
paintings to be experienced physically, by the whole body, rather than just being seen by the eye and absorbed in the mind... giving us that sensation
of our body being as much engaged as our mind.»
In between waves
of flesh hungry zombies, the bizarre town reveals a chilling history through secret halls that

paintings that require examining, and a myriad
of other objective - based reveals that will keep you coming back for more even after you fail yet
again.
We
need to be in a room and be open to letting go
of our project... It can't be the superstars
of the MLS world
again and
again talking about the problem and getting
painted with a broad brush.

To judge how many strips you
need, rest the seam
of your lamp shade on the end
of the
paint chips and roll it until you reach the seam
again.
I've made quite a bit
of progress, but some
of the things I did earlier on I'm
needing to redo because
of wear and tear (like
painting our family room
again!).
I
need to send you a pic
of my living room and dining room, I have to get some new curtains and possibly
paint again and am stuck!
We are moving into a new home next month and I
need to
paint some
of my furniture to fall in love with it
again... so I have really loved your entries on
painted furniture.
It still
needs another coat
of paint but, oh my, am I smitten with it
again after 15 years
of sturdy service.
It had a bunch
of holes that
needed to be patched, so Mike went to town patching like crazy, and then we let Mom loose with the
paint again!
One coat did the trick for me -LCB- part
of why I love this
paint -RCB- but depending on what you use, you may
need to let it dry and go over it
again with a second coat.
