One thing for sure, Wenger will start Giroud even though we all know that most of the 90 min will be spent in front of Arsenal's box and thus
we need players with pace, who are quick in transition.
Going for goals
needs players with pace when counter attacking.
He has to be one of our best players.Even if he is just used as an impact player he can come on and change a game He can make things happen.I feel that the present line up is sterile and too predictable. To get the best out of Giroud
he needs players with pace around him.

im
with you on that... even if we do nt wanted, wenger likes to play a cam in one of the wing to get more possesion... im on th more dinamic play
with to fast wingers who have goals and can get the line to take the pass to our target man (giroud or other)... because of that also is that wenger
need a
player on the cf who can play holdup playing... but, if wenger continiue to play that way and demands a
player with good technique and short pass, i thing he also
need to go for a
player with goals and more
pace than ramsey... he play ramsey there because he shows that he knows where is the f * net and have the technique and pass... but he
needs more
pace and even better dribbling skills... in that case i would go for isco or gotze
Mahrez is a brilliant
player for sure without a doubt but the OX showed last night that he could be even better than Mahrez
with the OX campbell and walcott do we really
need a winger I beg to differ what we
need is a striker a striker of 25 + goals imagine henry or van on the team sheet now
with the squad we have I liked be yedder because he was young and complete striker a striker that no mater of the circumstances are or position will strike you a goal

We
need to start putting out our first team,
with players in their best positions and back to basics
with pace in defence,
pace on the wings and stability in the middle.
With a player blessed with his speed and goal scoring abilities it is vital we play to his strengths. We need to inject more pace and directness into our attacking play otherwise Auba will struggle just as Lacazette. This stems from our «pass the ball to one another at all costs» possession football that has overtaken system we played when we were challenging most seasons for the Premiere League Title 1998 - 2

We
needed pace upfront more than another defender at the time, since Kos injury it has put preassure on the remainding
players... and I will admit to being confused to Monreal playing in CB, I do nt agree
with that but meh.
We
need players now that move forward

OT: It looks like many of you on here believe that ST position is well equipped if walcott decide to stay and play as ST... Well let me put it like this WALCOTT is not a striker (maybe striker under study) what he has is
pace and finishing that's all... we
need a well established ST and not only a hot prospect... I can't see us break the like of Chelsea, RM, Barca, and Bayern
with Giroud / Walcott unless we get a proper striker, all round one
with good finishing and positioning
with fair
pace and dribbling skills... EPL title and CL challenge
need that... Get real and don't overrate our

I for one have said we
need a striker in the Henry mode
pace, power and trickery, but lose nothing if we play
with tricky, pacey wide
players around giroud
It is not easy replacing Alex
with his workrate, in terms of goals Aubaya would be a perfect arsenal type forward, height,
pace, skill and finishing, otherwise if we lose Alex i feel we
need a finisher and a wide
player who takes on opponents.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where
players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current
players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen
pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these
players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach
pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played
with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset
needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive
players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a
player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the
players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this
player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent
with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3
players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill
players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a
player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6
players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
back in the day we had a double act up front that worked in tandem perfectly in berkamp and henry one couldn't really function without the other properly almost the perfect combo for a strike pair graceful speedy winger converted c / f and the perfect no 10
with perfect all round vision and goalscoring ability what do we have now that is that equivalence we have a wordly no 10 but no great gracefully speedy henry type c / f and there are none like that out there atm maybe a few potential wannabes remy lacaztte and the likes but really ozil
needs a double act
with someone and maybe we will see it click into place
with sanchez maybe he has the ability to be an henry winger converted c / f has similar traits
pace skill strength can score ace goals just
needs to find his feet at c / f and he will form a deadly partnership
with ozil i think maybe the old time wenger classic 4411 the ox on the left and walcott on the right Ramsey and new d / m in the middle would work a treat for me this formation never dies out just gets reinvented to suit the
players available
I know we
need to develop how we play against opponents, both against Everton and Leicester we got hit on the counter, and didn't have the right type of
players to control an attack at us
with pace.
i think this could officially be the start of the end for wenger his blind arrogance has cause him to buy welbeck in the sheer belief that AGAINST THE ODDS HE CAN BEAT THE REST OF THE BIG 4
WITH ONE ARM BEHIND HIS BACK we should be buying top top top european c / l standard
players not sunderland spuds everton standard
players thats about welbecks standard of club in all truthful reality he is an honest hard working
player but wenger thinks he can coach the mediocrity out of him he is truely insane its a guaranteed source of goals we
need not more fancy hold up play and «
pace» and missing chance after chance so the postman is to be joined by the manchester metro tram absolute disgrace he has kidded on ozil and sanchez they must be wondering what is going on atm they are seeing the true wenger now just panicking and not panicking very well to that effect and for some reason wenger has gone all kinky for english
players for some strange reason at least chambers has great potential welbeck has past that stage and is a seasoned pro now and he is no where near what we
need wenger is trying to show how great he is by whiping the back out of the same
players week after week in the vain hope that he can win the league without rotating ever and they will get injured and he wont have learned his lesson and we will pay for it in the end best last day transfer would have been a 4 year contract for klopp
Alexis
needed more
players up the field we couldnt do that at everton because
with their full backs we were outnumbered in midfield he
needs pace up there
with someone who can break along side....
Henry spoke also about how Giroud
needs the
players around him to bring out his best and I can agree
with that, As Henry pointed out, Giroud has not the
pace or individual brilliance of a Suarez or a Messi but it is precisely the way he works
with his team mates that makes him so good.
tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow creeps in this petty
pace from day to day to the last syllable of endless gallic bullshit....4 th place junkies wetting themselves over 3rd place finish should realise that other teams will be strengthening in summer definitely the others in top 4 and always a surprise or two outside... wenger has f @@@@@ us over for ten years now selling top
players and bringing in a string of jokers... yes that changed
with ozil and sanchez... but giroud coquelin and monreal while all decent and can help us to another 4th place but not beyond that (coquelin could still be a top class
player but ai nt there yet) walcott and podolski will never deliver and merteshaker would not be in any other top 15 team in europe... so the idea that the squad is on the cusp of greatness is moronic and confirmed by end of season performance... we
need four quality signings but i would settle for two (attacker plus DM) and an upgrade (left back)..
From the team that Played Gala i would just make one change, take out Cazorla and put in Hayden, we
need a more defensive
player in that position, who is also good on the ball, has god
pace and is more physical and keep our pacey three
with ozil behind them
Walcott have
pace, excelent positioning and speed but when he remain one on one
with the goalkeper, he doesn't score, doesn't gave composure and finising and many times when the ball come from up, he miss to stop the ball and ruin the chance.I like him very mutch and I whish him all the good in the world us football
player, but he's already 26 and probably will not play anymore in our first XI, we can't bunch Ozil, Ramsey or Sanchez for him.He
need to play, he
need to leave.
Monreal is not a CB and will never be one. He's just a consistent performer who will be exposed against good teams and good wingers because he's not a CB.Per is slow and
needs a
player with decent
pace around him.All this means our defence is weak.
With no Walcott or Welbeck, Arsenal have lost a huge amount of
pace up front and we really
need that
pace to give the United
players a real worry about pressing forwards and pressuring our shaky defence.
I'm getting annoyed
with so many ppl thinking
players like mahrez or rafinha are good enough for arsenal we
need to aim a lot higher if we don't want to get swollowed by bigger teams it's time wenger makes a choice on wether we are gonna do what spurs did and build a younger team
with lemar goretzka or kieta and try to out run n out
pace teams or spend big big money on world class
players which I know he won't coz mahrez is not world class and we ain't got CL football anyway!
30 years old of course causes a bit of concern when it comes to Arsenal because as we have seen in the debates about Jamie Vardy,
players who approach 30 or are in their 30's will soon start to lose their form and as a defender in the current game, you
need to keep up
with the
pace.
I see him predominantly as a good passer but for a midfield
player with defensive responsibilities he lacks the
pace and tackling skills
needed.
I think we
need to bring in an exciting winger, one who beats
players with both
pace and trickery, good in final third and jut as importantly he's good at getting back and doing the dirty work.
Pace alone isn't enough to play for Arsenal, we
need someone
with the skill and flair and a good eye for goal, by «good» I mean the
player should guarantee +15 goals a season
Now, if I am intent on playing 2 upfront, Cazorla will play as the Left - Winger and cutting in on his left foot and, on the opposite flank, Chamberlain — an automatic replacement for Ozil,
with Walcott still out — can be «the»
player to give Arsenal that much
needed impetus
with his electric
pace, and dogged attitude.
«We
need a
player who is more direct, more aggressive offensively,» the Argentine said before the close of the transfer window, and I believe that Sissoko can provide exactly that, attacking the opposition left - back
with both
pace and power.
Speaking in a press conference, Allardyce admitted that the Turk
needs to train much harder
with his teammates in order to find his goalscoring touch in the division, he said: «He is struggling
with the
pace of the Premier League which happens to more
players than it doesn't who come in January.
I think we
need a creative
player with pace, right now Son is our only quality pacey
player but he is more of a finisher type.

These definitely work as a nice change of
pace, though
players will still
need to be somewhat familiar
with the game's controls first.
