political goals, we
need to establish new social
alliances, alternatives to those that have existed until now.
Now that NATO is committed to transfer security responsibility to Afghanistan, withdraw its combat forces from there and commit itself to long - term security of the war - torn country, what remains are steps that the

need to take to co-opt Pakistan and other regional states in an Afghan - led and Afghan - owned peace process to secure an ethnically - balanced and all - inclusive

To make an impact in the forthcoming 2019 general election, therefore, what the youths urgently
need is the creation of innovative ideas that electorates can buy into, building of
alliances / coalition with various pressure groups and being ecumenical in movement with already existing coalitions or
political parties.
Additionally, the evidence of the
need to avoid splitting votes is an internal factor in helping that existing parties and
alliances do not break due to personal or poltical tensions; although, as there is no defined standard as how «homogeneous» a
political party may be, that is hard to quantify.
What
political process would they
need to forge the proposed
alliance to attempt to «defeat» the Conservatives on June 8th (if the snap election goes ahead)?
We
need to be developing an
alliance with what remains of the unionized labour movement: at a minimum to support the development of training programs for fossil fuel sector workers, and more ambitiously to support the emergence of an electable
political ideology that calls for the transition away from capitalism intent on endless growth in consumption.
