The whole thing looks clunky and awkward to me, from the pairing of the
physical home -
button with a virtual one, to the separated third
camera, to the notch, to the sideways text on the back, to EMUI... The only saving graces are the cool - looking blue gradient and the fact that you can hide the notch without
needing to jump through 3rd - party hoops.
I'm a fan of
physical camera buttons, but the Exhibit II 4G, like its predecessor, is without one; you'll
need to use the
camera app icon instead.
For example, allowing users to hide and show software
buttons to access them when
needed, for custom actions and the like, while still retaining the advantages of
physical buttons for when using
camera and video apps?
While the
camera app is easy to use, with most of the
needed controls directly on the preview screen, you'll have to get into the dropdown list and then into options if you wanted to change the resolutions or the
physical button functions.
For instance, there's a big
camera lens on the back that sits next to the handset's fingerprint reader, which
needed to move to the back after Samsung ditched the
physical home
button.
