Diagnosis of Feline Fatty Liver disease is done by taking a small sample of the liver through a needle called a fine
needle aspirate test.

Cysts will show up on a mammogram or breast ultrasound, but if there is still some doubt about their nature, a
needle biopsy can be done, or the fluid can be
aspirated and
tested to get a clear diagnosis.
Common diagnostic

tests including a complete blood count and serum chemistry panel which includes calcium and albumin, chest x-ray, abdominal x-ray and / or ultrasound, fine -
needle aspirate and / or biopsy.

A diagnosis of cancer may come from a blood

needle aspirates and / or biopsies will be used to help confirm the diagnosis, or rule - out diseases that cause similar symptoms.
Cats will undergo diagnostic
testing including bloodwork, urinalysis, thoracic radiographs,
needle aspirate or biopsy, possibly abdominal ultrasound prior to enrollment to ensure eligibility.
Helpful
tests to confirm a cancer in dog prostate include x-rays (retrograde positive contrast urethrocystography), biopsy via fine
needle aspirates, cytology and histology.
