Still on that
statement skirt game and still miserably trying to finish off all my assignments before the weekend arrives so I haven't been up to anything too interesting and I don't really have much to say except that; this
skirt reminds me of how much I am desperately in
need of a far flung getaway.
For instance, as long as I was wearing my (

If however, you're a last minute kind of girl and
need a bit of help in that department — I say go for one very

skirt and dress it down with your favourite semi-smart clothes.
But I can't rely on this one look to keep me going, I
need a few capsule items to bolster my Spring wardrobe... my current thinking is a classic pair of cropped or straight leg trousers (i'm loving these), a quality white shirt to throw on with everything, something a little special for weekends or evenings out (this jumpsuit has seriously caught my eye), maybe a flirty midi
skirt for styling up and down (this one's gorgeous), and maybe a
statement loafer (these Gucci ones have stolen my heart).
To make this
skirt work, I think
need a fitted, sleeveless top in a pretty solid color to get a more flattering silhouette, and a
statement accessory, like a flower for my hair or a bright, funky necklace.
You don't even
need to spend a lot of money on
statement jewellery; before Christmas, I bought a big chunky silvery one from Zara (similar to this) and have worn it with everything from a black sweater dress and biker boots during the day to a black blazer and sequin
skirt for evening.
The bright and hot color of this
skirt would be enough of a
statement for your look; you won't even
need to accessorize.
It's my go - to for so many occasions, all you
need is a good patent black
skirt, a
statement leather jacket, and a comfy shirt.
Now, it's dangerous for the t - shirt to venture into the workplace alone, so it'll definitely
need a little backup from its trusty friends the pencil
skirt and the
statement necklace.
