Betrayal hammers home the importance
of spaying or neutering
pets and the merits
of adopting the
shelter dogs so desperately in
need of homes.
This newly launched opportunity provides the training and supplies
needed for animal lovers to temporarily house homeless
pets and facilitate their adoption from outside
of the
shelter.
In other words, a majority
of APBT's end up in
shelters because they were either found as strays or were relinquished by their owners for extenuating reasons, such as: apartment
pet restrictions, extraordinary veterinary
needs or financial hardship.
Nobody starts their day thinking disaster is about to strike — but that's just what we, as animal lovers and caregivers,
need to do in order to ensure we're prepared to continue providing our
pets with the essentials
of food, water and
shelter in the event
of an emergency.
Together, the San Diego Animal Welfare Coalition (SDAWC) *, which is comprised
of seven local animal
shelters, has been working towards «Getting to Zero,» a movement to eliminate the

Shelter in Conroe Texas is at capacity and asking for foster homes to help with the immediate
need of displaced
pets due to area wildfires.
