The
Game Republic Student Showcase 2013 was held on 30th May 2013 at Leeds College of Art and today we can announce the winners of the various awards, from 23 projects by five universities / colleges, judged by
games companies in the
network — Four
Door Lemon, Sumo Digital, Just Add Water and The Blast Furnace.
Five universities and colleges from the
network will showcase more than 25 projects and have their work judged in four categories —
Game Art,
Game Design,
Game Technology and Best Team — sponsored by four
Game Republic members including Sumo Digital, Four
Door Lemon and Just Add Water.
This was the sixth
Game Republic Student Showcase and featured five universities / colleges from the
network having their final year student projects judged by four
games companies from the region — Four
Door Lemon, Just Add Water, The Blast Furnace and Just Add Water.
Red Kite Games and the Leeds College of Art became the 50th and 51st members of
Game Republic this week, joining a
network that already includes Sumo Digital, Revolution Software, Four
Door Lemon and Just Add Water Ltd, along with Educational Partners including Leeds Metropolitan University, Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Huddersfield, and affiliates Garthwest, 3volution Solicitors and MFL Insurance.
