neural activity.

neural activity was dampened
when the men were exposed to the tears.
fMRI is a medical imaging technique which,
when applied to the brain allows us to non-invasively observe
neural activity associated with specific human behaviour.
Although one might assume that it would be possible to simply combine
neural activity from two arms acting independently, the study shows that cells act differently
when they are coordinating the movements of two limbs than they do
when separately instructing one limb or the other, he says.
The analysis allowed the researchers to identify and isolate the specific patterns of
neural activity that play out in this part of the brain
when someone speaks, effectively enabling them to decode the brain's signals.
«
When we look at the
neural processes that take place in the brain while processing the symbols, we see that around 400 milliseconds after the presentation of the to - be-counted symbol, there is an extreme reduction in brain
activity, although it should normally be very high,» explains Schmidt.
Again, Nrf2 - related
activity was observed only
when astrocytes were present in cultures, but significantly, Nrf2 signaling increased in tandem with neuronal firing, suggesting that neurons calibrate Nrf2
activity in astrocytes to keep pace with
neural activity.
«The gaze patterns show that users are reading the warnings, the
neural activity shows that users are undergoing high workload and are highly engaged
when warnings were displayed, and the task accuracy shows that users heed warnings a large majority of the time.»
In a series of experiments in mice, the researchers developed a computer program that connected the
neural activity in the animals» brains to musical notes, so that
when one group of neurons switched on, a corresponding musical note played.

neural activity of both brain regions in the people with OCD became virtually identical to that in the controls.
These «delayed response tasks» suggest that working memory, at the level of brain cells, is the result of self - sustaining patterns of
neural activity — a group of neurons starts firing
when the initial information is presented and maintains that firing internally
when the stimulus is no longer present until the animal acts on that information.
It works by detecting the changes in blood oxygenation and flow that occur in response to
neural activity —
when a brain area is more active it consumes more oxygen and to meet this increased demand blood flow increases to the active area.
Quantitative RT - PCR using RNAs extracted from brain, thorax and abdomen of workers revealed that statistically significant and prominent Acks induction was observed only in the brain
when the bees were exposed to high temperature, and scarce Acks expression was detected in the thorax and abdomen under both room and high temperatures (Figure 5O), further supporting that Acks induction under a high temperature reflects
