Tommy God has already forgiven you for your sin the moment you asked Jesus into your life and confessed him as Lord. From that point he paid for your sin in full past present future. It is not sin that stops us from being with the Lord so you are saved. The problem you are experiencing is the battle for your life in the here and now satan is out
to destroy you and he knows our weaknesses. If you are honest there were already issues in your life that you struggled with and
never got the victory over.So where do you go from here as i found myself in the same situation i was a christian but walking according
to the flesh.God does nt change his
mind he always loves us but because of our choices we distance ourselves from God.The issue is that we like sin thats our wicked hearts and
to be fair we cant change our nature only Christ can do that our old nature must be crucified with Christ. The stumbling block is our pride we have
to admit that we cant do it For me that was terribly difficult i was so independent thinking i could do anything but the truth was a made a real mess of things.I sense you are at a crossroads and are feeling desperate and confused. So as a brother in the Lord you need
to confess your sin
to God and tell him that you are weak -LCB- we all are -RCB- and that you cant do it in your strength -LCB- None of us can -RCB- but ask him
to send the holy spirit
to help you deal with the temptations and the sin that you struggle with and he will help you
to change your life he will empower you as he did me.Rather than look at who you are look
to Christ and walk in him and he will make you a new man and sin will not have dominion over you.Jesus
came to set us free from bondage.Having once been a slave
to sin i know what it is like
to have been set free by the power of God and that is what Christ is offering you today. All it takes is a desire
to change or repent and admit we cant do it and trust him
to give you the strength
to walk in him regards brentnz

So many years back when searching for Jesus, I went

And they got upset and were trying
to figure things out and finally became so frustrated that the Law was so hard
to follow and God kept sending them into captivity and there was so much death and eventually the prophets started prophesying about a day that would
come where the hearts of the fathers would return
to their children and a sacrifice that would be the final sacrifice so that they could all stop killing so many animals (which God also admitted He
never wanted in the first place because that was not the point), and also that God would eventually wipe out the old system and write his law on their hearts and
minds so that they could finally follow him without making so many mistakes and messing up everything.

Because their knowledge of God was limited

Jeremy i am surprised you
never countered my argument Up till now the above view has been my understanding however things change when the holy spirit speaks. He amazes me because its always new
never old and it reveals why we often misunderstand scripture in the case of the woman caught in adultery. We see how she was condemned
to die and by the grace of God Jesus
came to her rescue that seems familar
to all of us then when they were alone he said
to her Go and sin no more. This is the point we misunderstand prior
to there meeting it was all about her death when she encountered Jesus something incredible happened he turned a death situation into life situation so from our background as sinners we still in our thinking and understanding dwell in the darkness our
minds are closed
to the truth. In effect what Jesus was saying
to her and us is chose life and do nt look back that is what he meant and that is the walk we need
to live for him.That
to me was a revelation it was always there but hidden.Does it change that we need discipline in the church that we need rules and guidelines for our actions no we still need those things. But does it change how we view non believers and even ourselves definitely its not about sin but its all about choosing life and living. He also revealed some other interesting things on salvation so i might mention those on the once saved always saved discussion.Jeremy just want
to say i really appreciate your website because i have not really discussed issues like this and it really is making me press in
to the Lord for answers
to some of those really difficult questions.regards brentnz

never felt so good in my whole life and it has

to me i sense that you are struggling with issues in your
mind that you cant reconcile and these issues are affecting what you believe in your heart and therefore your faith in God.I had something similar happen
to me recently regarding the story of the demon possessed man at one point the demons begged Jesus
to cast them into the pigs does that mean that Jesus was implicated with the work of satan. It cast my
mind into doubt and then i began
to question who God is.I prayed and sort the holy spirit for an answer the answer i got was that Gods character
never changes he is always holy righteous and sovereign why else would satan ask for his permission. So the answer was that he allowed satans purpose
to prevail so that we can see that satans intention is always
to destroy it may well have been that the pigs were his anyway. As they were for the gentile nations who offered the pigs
to their demon Gods.Just as satan can not change who he is the destroyer the thief the liar God can not change who he is when we realise that despite what we see going on in the world God is still the same yesterday today and forever. The time is
coming when those that have hurt others will be judged for there wickedness as we serve a holy and just God.Just as it was in the times of Noah so it is with this this generation that as the wickedness reachs its zenith then the Lord will return
to judge the nations.He is
coming again and we need
to be ready it is not a time
to be caught sleeping.brentnz
I bring the conversation up because it
came to mind last week when I was reading about a Christian ethicist so passionately committed
to defending the (unmistakably) exceptional nature of human beings that he thinks it necessary
to forbid his children any sentimental solicitude for the suffering of beasts, and
to disabuse them of the least trace of the dangerous fantasy or pathetic fallacy that animals experience anything analogous
to human emotions, motives, or needs; they can not really, he insists, know anxiety, grief, regret, or disappointment, and so we should
never allow them
to divert our sympathies or ethical longings from their proper object.
The word took such deep root in my heart that I have

Surely a man who possesses even a little erectioris ingenii has not become entirely a cold and clammy mollusk, and when he approaches what is great it can
never escape his
mind that from the creation of the world it has been customary for the result
to come last, and that, if one would truly learn anything from great actions, one must pay attention precisely
to the beginning.
