but, im ok with this vardy transfer... it shows us many things: 1) wenger is changing, something some of us have been demanding for a long time; 2) it shows that wenger is taking risks: think about it, he is buying a men for a not cheap price, knowing he could not
getting anything after, with a future sell i mean... this is an act that shows wengers intentions to win something, the buy is not motivated by any financial or economic reason but only for a «
get the f epl once again» reason... this is an act that shows us hungry, even if we fail, we could said we try... first ever, we really try; 3) finally but very important... vardy is the kind of player we need... he is a warrior, a fighter... he has character...
look at how he celebrate his goals... full of energy... he, like alexis, can motivate the team when the things are not going in our way (something wenger cant do because of his age and because he has
never been an active coach on the pitch)... the vardy transfer, if it finish
well, is a demostration of a change, and a
good one... lets take care of winning things and do nt
look the economic side for once... vardy is a bit old, but we can give a chance to welbeck after maybe, or akpom... u are not thinking about the future when we talk about ibra... guys: u complain when wenger do nt spend or because he is always
looking for the bargain when u are the guys who has to pay the very expensive tickets... u complain when wenger buy the always for the future guy... like morata... stop to complain for everything and be consequent with yourself... i would love auba, but it is not going to happen... lukaku is awesome but the asking price is stupid... lets try with vardy, give us the throphy..
For that kind of money you'll be
getting far more talented players. If you watch a lot of football you'll know this.He has age mates that are
better than him but their not yet being talked about because some are in average teams and others are yet to be given a proper stage. Also, Monaco
never wanted to sell Mbappe and Lemar this season. If Arsenal were interested in any other players we would have
gotten them long ago. They might have even demanded more than # 80 if many clubs were interested and honestly speaking can you blame them?Is he the only talented winger that Arsenal are
looking at?We have to spend money wisely and this ain't wise business.
Jesus just
look at his stats since 2007 and

I just can't believe that we have become a joke we always start the season
well then have a bumpy December and by the time Feb comes our form has taken a dip and we
get kicked out of all competitions except for that valuable top 4 that the board loves so much... ultimately if Arsenal want to compete again we need changes from the bottom up... Kroenke and his board need to go cause clearly for them profits matter more than trophies... Wenger needs to go for his lack of tactical naus guy has been using the same fornation since I was in high school and I'm doing my honours in accounting now... our medical team must all go our players always
get injured and they
never come back in time (take a
look at Santi) players like Coquelin Theo Mesut Gabriel Gibbs Giroud just to name a few need to go they're just not
good enough seriously these players lack fight tactical Discipline and tactical awareness... at the end of the day change needs to happen things can't keep going like this for us....
Agreed all you Wenger bashers and player knockers eat Ya heart out instead of always thinking you know
best get behind Arsenal sure they are gonna have a bad day but
look how many players out and players available having to play out of position Would Chelsea, City United be where they are if half there team were injured let's give Wenger some credit he
never says when they lose it is because of injuries
get behind him and the team we will be up there CB
I would like to tell arsenal fan that the transfer window is not arsenal's problem.Let explain what is in my mind.We need to reinforce our team but we need to think in the future that most of the high class players are going to refuse signing for arsenal fc because of Mr Wenger's philosophy. It
looks like arsenal becomes cemetery of players. How many players came in and left because of performance, became
good players out of arsenal. We need to accept all of the transformation Mr wenger brings in arsenal but now it does not work. Why??? because lack of tactics, strategies and pretending
best players for Mr wenger mind but in reality those players do not
get standard of
best player.Mr wenger wants to prove everybody that he is wright that players who are calling by wenger are
best.I means Mr wenger is the only one can see all matter in
good position or bad.He is wrong by thinking this way.He does not like criticism.he is the mind of arsenal.Everything he can say or defend is wright.Think about morrinho comments about arsenal!!!! Why he likes to be arsenal coach!!!! One thing I want to say about arsenal players, I think everybody watch arsenal games. We have
got short mind players who play two
good games and the rest shameless. They are working hard in the training ground for catching Mr wenger's mind to let them play; what is behind their (players) mind to be the most regular players. Those players have no vision even ambition; they are
never becoming high class and their carriers are going to finish in arsenal after arsenal we are going to see them playing for championship. They do not care to become legend as Ian wright, Vierra, Berckam, piress, Henry... What is the big behind their mind to use wenger name to be selected in national team. They are not able to face different leagues in the world.
I fear none of these young guys will not
get a proper chance simply as we play with just one centre forward.a lot of young forwards Ave
looked good before but
never made it..
We have only seen his
best in the last few seasons, he was virtually none - existence before then, we
look @ Ramsey who was absolutely terrible prio to last season, it took him almost three yrs to make any meaningful impact and yet Wenger stood by him, and he came
good,
look @ Wilsere, he has
never been the same after beiing out for more than a year,
look @ Eduado da silva, I culd go on and on, truth is, when you are out for that long, it takes time for you to return to you usual level, it doesn't help his cause that he is not even being used by wenger, how is he suppose to
get the match sharpness that he needs?
What was all the hype about in the previous article about our keeper? This is the problem with this club we keep over hyping players.Just
look at the keeper you guys are hyping top teams are not in for him and top teams were
never in for him when we were chasing for him.The mentality is not
good at all.The mentality is so bad to the extent that it's like when a key player is to leave the club we know we are doomed because the proper replacement won't be brought in.I just don't
get it.Keep hyping dem players ok I hope it
gets them far.
Don't
get the hate to the dude, it's
never wrong to set a target for yourself and neither to
look ahead, him wanting to prove himself for both club and country and also wanting to be like one of the
best players currently can
never be a bad thing can it?
this window has just finished i am already thinking about who we will
get for the january window we might try for khedira on a really low offer as he is free agent almost would help boost numbers in midfield in the new year as we will no doubt need to filling the numbers about then also i will hold my hands up and say i was wrong this morning for giving wenger stick and saying welbeck is rubbish i have been out in the cold light of day and had a chance to reevaluate the situation and realized that this could be a canny shrew transfer on wenger behalf actually if wenger can turn the clock back and work his magic on welbeck and
get him scoring goals and improve his game then we could have a great underrated signing on our hands its wengers absolute trust in him that might be what makes him a great player as this is something that he
never had at old mordor if anybody can make him a world beater wenger can he loves this little pet projects improving players against the odds welbeck has the skillset to be high class player upfornt he just needs to work very hard on his finishing i think once he
gets a few goals under his belt he will settle in fine and he is a team player you could put him on the left against man city to shore up that side and he will put in a great shift without a complaint that could be his biggest asset to us or on the right whenever we need him there ithinkwenger might start himon the left against city to protect the left back against navas and i bet you if he does a great job we will take a shine to him quickly i am hopeing he will be one of those wenger gems that he finds and polishes up to a high finish i must admit i was annoyed as some other gunners were at not signing d / m and c / h but if wenger does win the league with this lot it will be his greatest win yet and what might play in to our hands is the unpredictable nature of the league in the last few seasons if we
get on a
good run at the right time we might be hard to stop
look at city they should have
never lost to stoke but the result is there in black and white for all to see and i think chelsea will hit the skids after a while to just because cesc and costa are doing
well now thats there main threat but teams will work out how to stop them as the season goes on and chelsea will become predictable i think we might just do
well this season after all
see our team is
good but
never consistent, i will still blame Arsene, for buying average players, the likes of Elneny, Ramsey, Walcot, shouldnt be in our team, now Santi is
getting old, needs replacement he can buy someone like James of madrid,
look at walcot he's only deceiving us, the guy isn't
good for our team, forget Euro or No 10 role, this is not Wales, its Arsenal, Ramsey loves his country more than Arsenal, he doesn't play with the same passion!
I wanted to
get behind Perez when we signed him but he has
never looked good enough to me.
Well we have all seen the last ten years that AW will
NEVER spend ALL of his transfer fund and neither will he buy the players we all know we need so again where the F@ck do you
get your arsenal world view from??? The future
looks EXACTLY like it has since Silent Stan
got on board and your article really cant be taken as anything serious by anyone with eyes in their heads.
Joining a club of arsenal s stature has its ups and downs. There is a requirement of how our players should perform when on the pitch. The following is a list of players who were wrong to choose arsenal.Aaron ramsey - Even though he is the most favoured of all players at the club now.I cant help but think how it would have gone for Him if he decided to search for other greener pastures. He was a clear talented footballer during his time at cardiff but he hasnt been raised with the discipline at arsenal. You can always see ramseys all round strengths but sadly Its not helping him or the club with his foward moving pleasurr. He is so Over used and its sometimes difficult for him to
get used to the rythm of the game. With time you realise he
gets low ib confidence and his engine
gets wasted. He needed somebody who would have managed him properly and with care and that person is certainpy not wenger. You would have been
better off at Manu mate.Calum chambers - Came us a very talented player from southampton with raw talent. He was very
good at first but wenger found a way to reduce his level of confidence. His inexperience was left exposed and wenger did nt do anything to resolve that problem and instead He
looked for other talented players.Alex oxlade chamberlain - Another very talented player who needed only his skilled sharpened and his character modelled. That and he was ready to become a world beater. But wenger decided to let him run and run like a headless chicken causing him to be often injured and damaging his confidence.Who knows what would have happened to him gad he decided to
look for more greener pasture. He is surely a much
better player than this.Theo walcott - Another player who was tipped to have a very bright future. He had it in him.But all he needed was an appropriate manager who would nurture him with discipline and help him with his talent. But on Coming to arsenal he was given Much more responsiblities putting more weight on his shoulders on top of that another player who was recklessly managed with his talent and
never coming off age because his character wasnt properly shaped.Mesut ozil - Al right i agree he perfoms
well just recently. But imagine all the legendary players he was often compared to during his time at real madrid. On coming to arsenal he found no rotation often overused, suffered many injuries and his confidence dwindled. It is pretty clear arsene does not take any responsibility for players. And when at arsenal you have to be your own manager. You need not rely on your manager otherwise you might continue being the same player for the next many years. That is why each and every player are what they are because of their own efforts and wenger had nothing to do with it.Van persie was the same player for over 7 years untill he himself decided to change.Wenger only organises and prepares tge team while the rest is in your court. It is not what so many people make it out to be.Thats why we need to pressure wenger more than our own players. They are their own self managers and wenger needs to take that responsibility
Francis Coquelin had
never really broken into Arsenal's first team squad on a regular basis and it
looked like he was finished at the Emirates when Wenger sent him off to Charlton on loan, but he played
well at the Valley and when Aaron Ramsey
got injured Wenger did the sensible thing and recalled Coquelin back to the fold.
even when he suffered a serious knee injury, instead of accepting the fact that he would
never stick his legs into the spaces that were crucial for someone with straight ahead speed to succeed, the club actually contemplated giving him a chance to play up top where his lack of physicality, size and holding up play talents would been on display for all to see... these are not the actions of a club that really cares about winning at the highest levels, but they are the actions of a club that wasn't interested in spending the necessary resources to purchases a world - class striker, which is usually the most expensive position on the pitch... instead we adopted the horrible phrase «like a new signing» and proceeded to allow this ridiculous experiment to carry on, which ultimately caused some discomfort on the training pitch and inside the locker room as players battled for a position that shouldn't have been theirs for the taking in the first place... don't
get me wrong, I believe that Walcott is a talented player, who can help a team reach their goals, if their goals are relatively modest... just
look at the teams who supposedly expressed interest in his services and they weren't the kind of clubs who aspire to win at the highest levels... as for the reasons why he hasn't been bitching and moaning about moving on just
look at the wage benefits he receives from our club and his obvious desire to enjoy the societal advantages that come with playing in North London for a club with worldwide appeal... so instead of continuing to try to fix a coat with a broken zipper simply move on and buy a new and
better coat
We need some midfielders that can be strong and battle for us!!!! al our midfield are forward thinking and there is such a big hole from them and the back 4, It does not matter who we have playing at the back we will always
get attacked with goals against us with the style of midfielders we have, Let
get some steel in the middle of the park, Lets bring in some players that other teams feel fear playing against us,
Look back at our
best teams and we have always had players that will
get back and cover and can tackle and win balls in the middle of the park, So many of our midfield now can, t even
get back
never mind win the ball back when we need it, It is NOT about the price of players it is all about buying players that can balance a
good strong team, At time we need to buy a player who is not a star but is
good at doing what we need him to do,
look at how he built up that really
good Rams D. Fisher was
never much of an offensive coach as a HC but McVay is simply riding the coattails of Fisher's D &
getting all the credit for doing jack.
Are you really naive enough to believe that Wenger would bring anyone into this current locker room that is going to be given a strong voice... have you not been watching, listening or reading about our club for years... Lehman is a blind Wenger follower, which is the only reason he was even considered... just for a second think of all the strong personalities that have played for this club that have
never been seriously considered even though they have expressed legitimate interest in participating in the coaching process... even worse, think of all the former greats who aren't even allowed on the same pitch as Wenger because they have offered their advice and / or criticism to the infallible one... I dare you to find a manager that has distanced himself from his former players as much as this man... it's the very reason why only one player I can think of has ever returned to play for Wenger and that was Flamini, which was hilarious considering we were desperately
looking for a top quality defensive midfielder but Wenger could somehow find no one
better than Flamini in the whole wide world... let's face it this club was simply trying to appease it's disgruntled fans by declaring that Wenger would no longer be given Ca rte Blanche when it came to the backroom staff so they probably asked him to give them a list of those who he would allow in the locker room... on that list he wrote Lehman, Pires and Bergkamp, likely because the first two are the only former players who haven't publicly questioned his horrible decision - making and the last one because he won't
get in an airplane
Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass of another... we know that Ozil has some incredible technical gifts, but to be considered the
best you have to bring more than just assists to the table... for me, a top player has to possess a more
well - rounded game, which doesn't mean they need to be a beast on both ends of the pitch, but they must have the ability to take their game to another level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early on, it set the bar too high, so when people expected him to duplicate those numbers each year the pressure seemed to
get the
best of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse for what has happened in the meantime, but it's important to make note of a few things: (1) his
best year was a transition year for many of the traditionally dominant teams in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear
better than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by playing him out of position and by not acquiring world - class striker and / or right - side forward that would
best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss of Cazorla, who took a lot of pressure off Ozil in the midfield and was highly efficient when it came to
getting him the ball in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a
good chunk of games and frankly
never looked himself when he eventually returned to the field... overall the Ozil experiment has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do have some empathy for the man because he has always carried himself the same way, whether for Real or the German National team, yet he has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal... to me that goes directly to this club's inability to surround him with the necessary players to succeed, especially for someone who is a pass first type of player; as such, this simply highlights our club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed in both Ozil and our management team for not stepping up when it counted because they had a chance to do something special, but they didn't have it in them... there is no one that
better exemplifies our recent history than Ozil, brief moments of greatness undercut by long periods of disappointing play, only made worse by his mopey posturing like a younger slightly less awkward Wenger... what a terribly waste
And by your justification you are asserting that BFG has
never looked shaky or made a mistake,
well let's take you back to Arsenal VS. Wolves when BFF slipped, cost us a goal and
got injured in the process, and how many rash tackles has Kos.
He has been very
good for us as he
never gets injured,, personally that's the first thing I
look for in an Arsenal player; Fitness!!!
players like Ozil always present the fans with a bit of a conundrum, especially when times are tough... if you
look around the sporting world every once in awhile there emerges a player with incredible skill, like Ozil, Matt Sundin or even Jay Cutler, who have a different way about themselves... their movement seemed almost too lackadaisical, so much so that it seemed to suggest indifference or even disinterest on the part of the player... their posture always appears somewhat mopey and they generally have an unflattering «sour puss» expression on their face... for some their above average skills are enough to keep them squarely in the mix, as their respective teams try desperately to find a way to
get the
best out of them visa vie player acquisitions or the reworking of tactics... when things go according to planned the fans usually find a way to accept their unique disposition, whereas when things go awry they become easy targets for fans and pundits alike... in the case of Ozil and Sundin, their successes on the international stage and / or with their former teams led many to conclude that if we surrounded such talented individuals with players that have those skills that would most likely bring the
best of these players success would surely follow... unfortunately both the Maple Leafs and our club chose to adopt half - measures, as each were being run by corporations who valued profitability over providing the
best possible product on the field... for them, they cared more about shirt sales and season tickets than doing whatever was necessary... this isn't, by any stretch, an attempt to absolve Ozil of any responsibility for his failures on the pitch... there is no doubt oftentimes his efforts were underwhelming, to say the least, but this club has been inept when it comes to providing this prolific passer with the kind of players necessary for him to flourish... with our poor man's version of Benzema up front, the headless chickens in Walcott, the younger Ox and Welbeck occupying wide positions far too often and the fact that Carzola, who provided Ozil with great service and more freedom to roam, was
never truly replaced, the only real skilled outlet on the pitch was Sanchez... remember to be considered a world - class set - up man goals need to be scored and for much of his time here he has been surrounded by some incredibly inept finishers... in the end, I'm not sure how long he will be in North London, recent sentiments and his present contract situation seem to suggest that he will depart at season's end, but how tragic would it be if once again we didn't put our
best foot forward and failed to make those moves that could have brought championship football back to our once beloved club... so when you think about this uniquely skilled player don't be so quick to shift all the blame on his shoulders because he will not be the first or the last highly skilled player to find disappointment at the Emirates if we don't rid the club of those individuals that are truly to blame for our current woes
For a long time it
looked as though we may
never see the superb little Spaniard playing for the Gunners again as he has had no less than eight surgical procedures since he last played, but as reported by the Daily Star things are
looking good for his return before too long and Cazorla is now working hard to
get fit.
33 attempts at goal 75 % possession and lose comfortably it can only happen to arsenal it would be funny if not so tragic and I'm for one not buying the reason we lost is because of De Gea it's as much poor finishing as it is great goal keeping more aggression with the chances and you score I don't care who's in goal just smash it doesn't have to
look pretty and I don't have to say very much about the defending it's schoolboy stuff all this talk about koscielny (bosscielny)
never got that isn't physical enough to be an Adams or Campbell
gets muscled off the ball far too often he's a
good player don't
get me wrong but he ain't world class and definitely isn't a leader I'd replace that whole back line and drop xhaka and ramsey for new signings yeah ramsey set up a nice goal but that kid can not hit water if he fell out of a boat his shooting is awful always sky's them very frustrating player.
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is in no
better position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release of Sanogo... if you
look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to
better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state of affairs on a position - by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to
get rid of for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he
got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty
good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy of our time and / or investment, as such we should
get rid of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should
get rid of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative of what's wrong with this club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle of the park we need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to
get that player into the fold without any of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player in question feel
good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)... in order for us to become dominant again we need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players in the final third... he was
never a
good defensive player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result of his presence on the pitch... as for the rest of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal for a club of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it's time to
get rid of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time on the training table as on the field of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we need to bring in some proven performers with no history of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker position falls once again squarely at the feet of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this club since the arrival of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that of a «selling» club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't
get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any interest to strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the game has changed quite dramatically in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside
looking in... so don't blame those players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet of those who were
well aware all along of the potential pitfalls of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
