My kids and I have been playing with
our new Blendtec the last few weeks.
Hard Dates almost burned up
my new Blendtec motor and did not chop up dates very well.
With
the new Blendtec, it has the big jar, but we also got the smaller one that is used more for making nut butters.
I have
a new blendtec but I still don't have the hang of it for making small amounts of cream sauces like this.

I really only used my old
Blendtec for smoothies, but I am having lots of fun experimenting with the
new one.
With all of those recipes, I divided up the end result and threw it back into the
Blendtec to make
new flavor combinations.
The reason that the
new Vitamix still wins in my book is that the lid has a latch system that stays on (we had a couple accidents with the
Blendtec) and the Vitamix has a manual control system vs. the computerized
Blendtec system.
At the time, I liked that the
Blendtec was shorter and easier to store, though as mentioned, that has been resolved with
newer Vitamix models.
The only thing that I really wanted was a
new Blender, a
Blendtec or a Vitamix to be more accurate.
So I compare the Vita - Mix,
Blendtec and
new lower priced Oster Fusion blenders.
