Deep Silver have just announced the development of a new entry to the Dead Island franchise, called, rather excitingly, Riptide.

Despite the seemingly new situation and setting, Dead Island: Riptide manages to continue bad habits that wreck havoc on the first game.

Players can import their character from Dead Island, or create a new one, who starts at level 15.

Dead Island: Riptide once again takes advantage of the zombie genre's popularity instead of actually exploring new ways to function within it.

Spec Ops: The Line drops to # 4 and at # 5 it's a new entry (of sorts)-- Dead Island: Game of the Year Edition.
