The car we're driving is the McLaren Edition SLR, one of 25 SLRs with carbonfibre bumpers, improved underfloor aero, a larger rear diffuser,
a new airbrake, lightweight carbon side panels and engine - cooling vents, and wheelarch air vents.

airbrake, and it contributes to an overall reduction in the car's weight.
From the B - pillar back it's all
new and it's all made from carbon fibre: the side skirts, the side air intakes, the rear body lower panel, arches, deck, bumper and diffuser, and the
new Longtail
airbrake (which is 50 percent larger).
The aerodynamic work is similarly extensive, with an 80 - percent larger front splitter complete with F1 - style end plates,
new side skirts that settle turbulent air created by the front wheels, larger side air intakes to feed the intercoolers (tilted outward to enhance efficiency) and, of course, the larger
airbrake.
On the outside, the 675LT Spider gets a larger front splitter,
new side skirts and an active Longtail
airbrake that is 50 percent larger.
