The phrase
"new doulas" refers to people who are beginners or new to the profession of being a doula. A doula is someone who provides emotional and physical support to women, their partners, and families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.
"New doulas" are those who have recently started this role and may be gaining experience in helping families through this special time in their lives.
