One outstanding issue is the
health exchanges that
New York must set up under the
federal health care reform act.
Beginning in 2014 — and that's not as far off as it may seem —
New York expects a big increase in the number of people who qualify for government
health care under the
federal health care reform law.
In an early benefit assessment pursuant to the Act on the
Reform of the Market for Medicinal Products (AMNOG), the German Institute for Quality and Efficiency in
Health Care (IQWiG) has examined whether this
new drug for MS offers an added benefit over the appropriate comparator therapy specified by the
Federal Joint Committee (G - BA).
It's great to see such progress, but it won't take our focus on these and other important issues, including
federal disaster insurance,
health care reform, and
new appraisal rules.
