cooking for many years but when I took away the usual constraints» of how I put a dish together around a piece of meat or fish I began

One question I get asked a lot is how to come up with different recipes
and have more variety with meals, so I'm going to be talking about that more this month (great for those of you who tend to make

and eating healthier
food!).
In striking out
and finding
new tastes it's always profitable to check
cooking methods
and recipes that come from the area where the particular
food originates.
It's from the
new cookbook «Soup Nights» (Rizzoli) by
food writer
and cooking teacher Betty Rosbottom, of which I received a review copy.
We've literally eaten nothing but one pot meals for the past four months, with hardly any barbecue making an appearance on our table this year, so I'm excited to finally have some time to
cook some
new food after spending most of this year testing
new recipes for you to try in a year
and a half (ha!).
I love the massive variety of
food from some wonderful
cooks, the sweet time to fellowship with good friends,
and — of course — the chance to try out
new recipes on unsuspecting eaters!
I was having problems baking gluten free
foods in my
new house, I had to extend
cooking times
and then they were unevenly
cooked often.
For the next year I plan to continue to try
new foods and to keep
cooking to ensure my husband
and I are eating real
food.
We (I) had to learn, not only how to
cook and prepare vegan
food, but how to efficiently plan out our meals, research the
new items / ingredients we needed to purchase, figure out how to make all of this happen in a timely manner,
and work within a budget.
The book is a fun mix of
new and old: modern with the whole -
foods Paleo philosophy,
and nostalgic with the
cooking tips of Jewish grandmothers just like your own bubbe.
I am all for healthy
cooking and introducing
new recipes
and food to my diet, but this one really caught me by surprise.

cook who was diagnosed with an auto - immune disease eight years ago, Naomi started to explore the connection between healthy, whole

cook book is as beautiful as I expected
and has such an awesome blend of daring
