PS4 fans have even more to look forward to this year, with
new game announcements expected at Tokyo Game Show 2014.

An
announcement could come sooner, but don't
expect Rockstar to launch any
new games until middle of next year at the soonest.
And finally, the fantasy
announcements that I don't at all
expect would be the
announcement of
games like Endless Ocean 3 for the Wii U and a
new Chibi Robo and / or port of the Chibi Robo America never got, and translated Gamecube
games that never made it West coming to the VC.
What I'm hoping to see at E3, but can't necessarily
expect, are the
announcements of a
new Advance Wars, Luigi's Mansion, Kid Icarus, and / or Paper Mario, and maybe the
announcement of Animal Crossing U, as long as it doesn't release this year (I'm still playing the 3DS
game).
In fact, one of the only
new announcements for Nintendo wasn't the full Animal Crossing
game some people
expected to see, but rather what looks to be a Mario Party clone with an Animal Crossing skin laid over it.
You probably didn't
expect a video
game announcement to come from the show, however, but that's what Microsoft has done, revealing that a
new title in its flagship racing series Forza is on the way, with Lamborghini's Centenario to be the cover car.
The number encompasses not only retail sales but also digital distribution as well as ad revenue and it appears that there has been a shift towards digital distribution and subscriptions most likely fueled by the MMO market; something we can only
expect to continue with the recent
announcement of Valve bringing Steam and many of its
games to the Mac, opening up a whole
new corner of the PC market.

At E3 2017 I
expect Sony to reaffirm their dedication to PSVR with a sizzle reel of upcoming

new Forza
game will be released in 2018.

new update at next week's Tokyo
Game Show, but concerns about development troubles have been amplified by an

After the epic 2015 conference I was
expecting this to be a quieter show with only one or two big
announcements from the big studios but what we all got was a veritable cavalcade of
new games.

new IPs shown because they themselves said that it will be a PS4 focussed show, people should be

new announcements — and see some of those exclusive third - party reveals Sony seems to be so good at bagging.
