It probably drives my family nuts because they like to request things, and I just keep putting little twists on those recipes so I can photograph it and call it a new recipe for the blog.
I also wanted to wish you a most Happy New Year and I'm glad that I was able to get to know you a little more through our blogs!
However, no new recipes were really lighting me up which is very frustrating (and a little bit scary) when you write a food blog.
Lucky me got a brand spanking new waffle maker for Christmas from one of my relatives and since I've never done a waffle recipe on the blog before, I thought it was a great opportunity to do a little experimenting.

So, I've decided that while I have the time (I don't know how much longer this will be you see) I'm going to go back and re-shoot a bunch of the worst offenders, giving them new life on this little blog.
If you are new to my blog, I will mention here that I do grind all my own flour (my husband calls me the little ten hen), it sounds like madness, I know, but I have this awesome fancy grinder that is so fast I think I only add about an extra minute (and in that I am including the time it takes to walk over to my grain buckets, remove the lids and scoop out the grain with the actual grinding time) to my baking times and we get this amazing, fresh flour.
A bit like this recipe which has been on the blog for a while already but that now has got a little make over in the shape of a video and some new images, you can still read my initial post below the video but here's a little cheers to the new year.
