Weapons Pack 1 will deliver
a new machinegun, shotgun and rifle for use in the singleplayer campaign; and the following paid updates will add a grab bag of new mechs.

This one doesn't even sound like a good idea in theory, and it's terrible in practice: firing a
machinegun over the shoulder of a baddie that's ripping you a
new one is one of the least satisfying experiences available in gaming today.
Slaying the cornucopia of robots, turrets, COBRA soldiers and other dangers thrown in your path as
machinegun fodder gives you experience - like points to spend on unlocking
new Joes to play — once you've rescued them, that is.
