When I first started reading this pesky blog I had one book to my
name, written way back in the mists of time when Author Solutions was the brilliant
new alternative to «real

publishers don't rush to fill their lists with
new names, and indeed look after only that small percentage of writers that pay their salaries.

name authors see their website as something the
publisher should do and they therefore get updated once every couple of years when a
new book comes out.
Variety is the
name of the game with this week's
new releases, with several different
publishers releasing both
new titles as well as ending a few.
Based on Kristine Rusch's information, traditional
publishers cooperate in launching
new releases that will not overlap with other big
name titles through their «informal» discussions.
I'm not adding any
names to the long, long, long list of the
New American
Publishers are not trying to get away with this.
