It takes a decent (though aging) overall design, adds important under - the - hood changes, removes a port that probably didn't need to be removed, adds an awesome
new telephoto camera, becomes water - resistant and calls it a day.
Not exact matches
As you can see, all three
camera systems are almost identical from a hardware perspective — the
newer iPhone 8 and X have «slow sync» on the True Tone flash for better flash pictures, and the iPhone X has a slightly different aperture in the
telephoto lens, but that's about it.

The larger iPhone 8 Plus continues to offer a dual - lens
camera setup with both an f / 2.8
telephoto lens and a f / 1.8 wide - angle lens, both of which have
new sensors.
Secondly, a neat
new 56 mm
telephoto camera that lets you capture zoomed in shots without resorting to digital zoom.
The phone's octo - core Snapdragon 835 processor is the same one featured in the
new Samsung Galaxy S8, and the dual
camera design features both a 16 - megapixel Sony sensor and a 20 - megapixel Sony
telephoto camera that enables a bokeh - tastic portrait mode.
The dual
camera configuration is also slightly different, switching over to the 12 megapixel and 13 megapixel
telephoto combination that you'll find in the
new Nokia 7 Plus, rather than the dual 13 megapixel setup of the Nokia 8.

Apple finally took the plunge to
newer specifications like a 12 megapixel sensor with f1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization, but if one
camera isn't enough for you, there's a separate 12 megapixel
telephoto lens at f2.8 aperture, which is mainly there to serve 2X optical zoom, and 10X digital.
The handset also features a
new dual -
camera system ditching the secondary
telephoto zoom lens from the OnePlus 5, and replacing it with a
camera that's specifically made for taking pictures in low light.
The
new 20MP sensor sits behind the same focal length and f / 1.7 aperture as the main
camera now, putting a quick end to the
telephoto lens idea from before.
The biggest change here is the
new dual
camera system which consists of a 28 mm wide - angle f / 1.8 aperture lens and a 56 mm
telephoto lens with f / 2.8 aperture.
Although the essential specifications of the iPhone 8 Plus
camera haven't changed from the 7 Plus (so a f / 1.8 unit with OIS and a f / 2.8 2x non-stabilised
telephoto lens), we're assured that the sensor is
new and has «deeper pixels», i.e. there should be less crosstalk between each sensor pixel and thus less noise.
And the dual -
camera setup gives you some
new creative possibilities, even if low - light performance from the
telephoto camera isn't great.
Between them, Kuo and Kang - ho say the
new camera will be «the most important upgrade» for the Galaxy Note 8 and will feature a 12 - megapixel wide - angle lens, coupled with a 13 - megapixel
telephoto lens.
OnePlus tweaked its dual -
camera setup with the
new 5T model, offering 16MP primary and 20Mp secondary
cameras, both with f / 1.7 lenses; its OnePlus 5 predecessor had a wide - angle /
telephoto arrangement.
It remains to be seen, though, if the Galaxy S9 gets the same 2 x 12 - megapixel dual pixel AF
camera — f / 2.4

new setup.
Leaks point to the 40MP
camera being the primary shooter, while the 20MP handles monochrome and the 8MP will tout a

The iPhone X plus has two
new 12 - megapixel
cameras on the rear using a similar configuration to the iPhone 8 Plus and the previous 7 Plus, so that's a wide - angle lens and a
telephoto lens.
Using this feature will certainly take your Instagram photos to a whole
new level, thanks to the phone's dual lens
camera: a 12 - megapixel wide - angle f / 1.8 lens and a 12 - megapixel
telephoto lens.
Having tried an iPhone - like dual -
camera system with the 5 — one wide - angle lens and one
telephoto — OnePlus is now switching things up again with an entirely
new idea.
Apple's iPhone 7 Plus features an all -
new 12MP wide - angle and
telephoto cameras, splash, water and dust resistance.
The luxury
new phone also «borrows» the P20 Pro's phenomenal triple rear
camera, but for some reason, the 8MP
telephoto lens is positioned above the 40MP RGB and 20MP monochrome sensors, with the whole thing centered on the back of the Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS, joined by a fingerprint reader.
It would make a lot of sense that HMD would include a
telephoto lens on one of the two
cameras since it would be something
new in its Nokia Android smartphone lineup.
Apple's
new iPhone 7 Plus features a dual -
