That being said, it's actually easier to pick up than any other Android we've used and the icons are
nice and
big — perfect for the
tablet newbie.
I have played with one running 2.3.3 and it was
nice... but the galaxy 10.1 with 3.0 is SWEET but a little
big... I like the 7 - 8 ″
tablet...
And while we had plenty of
nice things to say about this
tablet in our review it couldn't be more clear that the
biggest problems here were software - related.
The data transfer is
nice, but I think being able to use a real keyboard to type into
tablet / phone apps is a
big selling point.
The
Tablet P can also act as a remote for Sony A / V equipment, which is
nice if you're
big into Sony equipment.
The Yoga
Tablet 2 13 has
nice,
big display and great endurance, but for $ 600, it may not be the best value.
The
tablet showed up at the FCC website this week and according to the user manual the WindPad Enjoy 10 has 1 GHz ARM Cortex - A8 processor, Android 2.3 operating system, and a ridiculously low screen resolution of 800 x 480 pixels even though the
tablet has a
nice big 10 inch capacitive touchscreen display.
The CNN
tablet app looks gorgeous, presenting you with
nice big picture previews for each story, and intuitive touchscreen navigation.
What's extra
nice is that by docking the
tablet to the keyboard you actually get more battery life, because that part is stuffed with a
big ol' battery.
Thinner, lighter, and a
nicer looking connector mechanism were all
big improvements to the second generation Transformer
tablet.
An 8 - inch
tablet is right on the borderline of what I'd personally deem acceptable to be taking pictures with out in the world, but if you must hold up this
big slab to snap a photo of a
nice scene on the street it will hopefully turn out well.
But most interestingly, we got a look at Android TV, an interface built for the TV, not expanded from the
tablet or phone, and looking rather
nice while sitting on your
big screen.
Suffice to say, it does look
nice and provided it has decent build quality, could actually present a challenge not only to Chromebooks, but to larger Android
tablets that offer
bigger screens yet the same basic Android interface present on all non-forked devices.
