Furthermore, despite looking relatively simple, the levels and structures are well coordinated and the
destructible environment is a
nice touch.
The voxel - style graphics and
destructible environments are
nice, and though the gameplay essentially boils down to «stay alive as long as you can», it does a good job of introducing tension through sparsely scattered health power ups and endlessly spawning foes.
Explosions looked
nice, but the lack of
destructible environments is a bit underwhelming as games like Battlefield and Red Faction have shown how much fun collapsing a building from its weak points can be.
From the looks of things, not only is it not going to feature stylized graphics, keeping things
nice and gritty (even more so than the excellent Titan Quest), but the game is supposed to feature NPC factions, meaningful quest choices, non-linear progression,
destructible environments, and a whole other junk of stuff that frankly sounds too good to be true for a budget of half a million bucks.
