Smaller churches (and my experience is w / Baptist churches, even ones larger than my home Catholic Church ever was) seem to demand exquisite style, high prices style, not the thought that went into keeping my
dress nice (and clean) fixing my hair, applying a modest amount of make - up,
etc..
One minor point in response to some posters» examples — my understanding is that true description doesn't include «evaluative» words like excellent, great, or «
Nice job doing X.» I find myself echoing her actions out loud a lot e.g., «you're putting the
dress on that doll,» «you're making red circles,» «you stacked the blocks so high,»
etc. and really trying not to verbalize my point of view per se.
I was able to wear non-maternity
dresses for awhile and then my favorite stores for those later months of pregnancy for maternity
dresses were H&M (cheap, casual but can
dress up with belts, jewelry) and Rosie Pope (
nicer, pricier
dresses but so flattering and perfect for showers, work,
etc.) Also key to my maternity style were Spanx or Assets at Target for maternity leggings & tights.
I'm looking for something that will play well with a
nice dress and a pair of boots, but everything I've tried on (Banana, Loft,
etc.) has been far too wide in the waist.
Not that spray tanning is rocket science, but it's
nice to see should I rub it in, how far away to spray from, how long before
dressing,
etc., so I'll definitely have to look that up and report back.
The
nice thing about a statement top versus
dress is that you can wear it with other things in your closet — black pants, white jeans, skirts,
etc...
I will also invest in a
nice dress coat — one that I wear to winter weddings, church,
etc..
