nice nudge in the right direction, it also feels a bit like launching DVD Boxed Set pricing for iTunes into a Netflix binge - consumption world — especially since a lot of the draw of the omnibus was displaying it on your shelf or
lending it to a
friend.
While you can theoretically
lend a print book as often as you want, e-book
lending has some
nice advantages as well: you don't have to physically meet up or mail the e-book, and you get it back automatically, without having to bug your
friend, and without any of the pages dog - earned or damaged.
Just as you'd send a
friend a thank you note or email for
lending a hand or doing you a favor, it's also
nice to send a quick note to colleagues when they help with something work - related.
