While I often eat these just as they are, they make a very
nice plated dessert that you can
top with fresh fruit and whipped
cream, creme fraiche, a fruit sauce, a chocolate sauce, an
ice cream, or even a sorbet.
Used an
ice cream scoop to portion out and give a
nice round
top.
If you are concerned with presentation, you can also add strawberry pieces on
top of the whipped
cream icing to make them
nice and pretty.
The addition of tender blueberries, a
nice added touch of crunch from the pecans and scoop of vanilla
ice cream put it over the
top!
That can be
nice served over
ice cream, or even as the
topping for a slice of cake (see note above)!
