night feeding sessions tough, especially if you have decided to breastfeed.

If not keep up with her
feedings through the
night but if not, you may want to consider adding a pumping
session before you go to bed and then getting up a little earlier before she wakes to pump again.
Okay, so maybe the first birthday party isn't quite as hard to manage as the first diaper change, first teething
session or every late
night feeding, but it is an event that takes some consideration to plan.
Even if you considered yourself a
night owl before becoming a parent, you might not be ready for the constant late -
night feeding and changing
sessions that come with having a new baby.
But now that my daughter is eating more solids, waking up for only one
night feed, and nursing for shorter and shorter periods than her marathon nursing
sessions of infancy, I have noticed a drop in my milk production.
You may also want to add some pumping
sessions in at home perhaps after you have
fed baby but before you go to bed and if you can wake up sometime during the
night (which I realize does not sound like fun for a working mom!)
My middle - of - the -
night hour - long
feeding sessions were just pacifying the baby, not actually
feeding him.
Especially, avoid eating late at
night and drink water after each breastfeeding
session if you do breast
feed.
In your shoes, I would try to drink a HUGE glass of water after each bf
session, and use formula when hubby gets up to
feed them during the
night feeding (or whatever you work out).
My nursing bra was so comfortable, I would sleep in it with a nursing pad (see next item on list) so that I wouldn't leak all over my pajamas at
night between
feedings or pumping
sessions.
So what I do para hindi masayang is I
feed it to Skye at
night, that also means additional pumping
session for me.
Changing your baby's diapers prior to every
feeding session during the
night is commendable.
To make sure you keep up your supply at
night, I'd add a bowl of oatmeal as a bedtime snack (it can be instant — it doesn't have to be the kind you cook on top of the stove) and add in a pumping
session right before you go to bed (you can pump and eat oatmeal at the same time) and right after her first morning
feed.
Some babies wake at
night only out of hunger; for those babies, extra nursing or bottle
feeding sessions, or a bit of solid food before bed, will help.
Once I figured out how to nurse lying down, I got a full
night's rest (though not unbroken by short
feeding sessions) except on sick
nights or teething
nights, which are, luckily, the minority.
For all the late
night feedings and cuddle -
sessions to come, make sure she's equipped with a good gliding recliner.
